I had the occasion to work on the Background surfacing on two teasers. It was a good way to find the look and feel of what Enki Bilal wanted too obtain...

Starting from the launch of the making of the film, I had the chance to work on the story board of imomrtel ad Vitam; We were two with Renaud Garreta working from pre-cut planks OF Enki Bilal. Our role was to energize and more readable as possible thumbnails for future productions teams. Finally, only a few sequences are used, most do not correspond to the rhythm and cravings of Enki Bilal. Thus the sequence 37 was one of the few preserved in its entirety ...

Background Surfacing

 

After my experience in design, I was responsible for the work of surafcing of all sets and props of the film. The experience has been very enriching; UVs at the time of each elements were fully extended hand; There was no small current tools that facilitate us the task. Thus, for nearly two years ending 2001 to 2003, we have grown old, soiled and stained to give life to this virtual universe of Enki Bilal.

Background Visual development

 

After the storyboard, Renaud Garreta and myself have worked on graphics research scenery and accessories of the film. Patrice Garcia and Alfred Frazzani joined us in the adventure. It was a magical experience, a real dream kid. In the first phase we tackled the vehicles then the sets. Once the designs approved by Enki Bilal, so they can appear plausible and they passed into the hands Plot Alfred frazzani, a trained architect who enriched the creations in execution plans for 3d teams. Thus, as and progresses the universe came to life ...
